DAY 32 – March 15 Demonstrate Truth in Love
40 Day Prayer Journey to Life Transforma
tion

We are continuing to press on in these 40 Days of repentance and prayer. Seek the Lord with your entire heart. Invite the Holy Spirit to search your heart and to reveal areas where forgiveness, insight and transformation need to occur in you and in the church.

Scriptures: Psalm 85: 8-13; Zechariah 8:16-17; John 8:31-36; Ephesians 4:15

Repent: Of not walking in truth or demonstrating truth in love; of using truth as a weapon that wounds rather than as a revelation that sets people free; of telling the truth without a loving attitude or expression but just to prove a point, ego and without real concern for the people .

Pray:

• Confess to the Lord the ways you have not walked in love, mercy, loving-kindness, and goodness.
• Pray for you to grow in grace and to come to the revelation of the love of God in His truth; and an understanding that truth without love is not a true reflection of Jesus Christ.
• Pray for the church to come to the revelation of the love of God in His truth; and an understanding that truth without love is not a true reflection of the Jesus Christ
• Pray that by the power of the Holy Spirit that believer will come to faith because the church and people would walk in and demonstrate truth to them in love.
• That truth would increase in and through you and the body of Christ bringing liberty to all.

DAY 33 – March 16 Demonstrate the Life of the Spirit
40 Day Prayer Journey to Life Transformation

We are continuing to press on in these 40 Days of repentance and prayer to seek the Lord and for true transformation to occur. Invite the Holy Spirit to search your heart and to reveal areas where you are not demonstrating, on a consistent basis.the fruit of the Spirit.

Scriptures: Romans 8:12-14; Ephesians 5:15-21; Galatians 5:22-23

Repent: Of living according to the flesh and its desires rather than the Spirit of love; of failing to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit, especially to those who do not know Christ as Savior and Lord; of failing to have faith in the Lord and to surrender to His Word and the Holy Spirit.

Pray:

• Confess to the Lord the ways you have not walked in love, and in the fruit of the Spirit.
• Pray for forgiveness and restoration by the power of the Holy Spirit to walk in the Spirit.
• Intercede for all believers to be lead by the Holy Spirit to grow in maturity, faith and to walk in the fruit of the Spirit.
• To walk in the fullness of Christ’s grace as members of the body of Christ, demonstrating His love, mercy, grace, and power to the world.
• Praise God for the Holy Spirit and that He lives within us, enabling and empowering us to walk according to the ways of Christ.

man and woman praying

DAY 21 – March 5- Pursing Reconciliation in Truth and Love
40 Day Prayer Journey to Life Transformation

The initial week of the Lenten season we were praying about our personal relationship with the Lord. We focused on what should be our primary pursuit of loving the Lord with all heart. The second week we focused on our relationship with our family relationships and the third week our relationship with those in the body of Christ. Today we must focus on repentance and reconciliation in broken relationships in our families and with friends and loved ones and between and among congregations.

Reconcile means-to change, exchange, reestablish, restore relationship, make things right, remove an enmity. Describes the re-establishing of a proper, loving interpersonal relationship which has been broken (Word-Wealth, the Spirit-Filled Life Bible, Nelson Publishers, 1991

Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 5:12-21; Ephesians 2:16-18; Colossians 1:19-23

Repent: Of not being properly reconciled to the Lord and to His children, our family, friends, and other congregations; of allowing disagreements, arguments and self pursuits to keep you separated from others in your family, community and in the body of Christ; of not submitting to the Spirit of truth and love; of not submitting to God’s desire for us to love one another and to be reconciled to one another; of_____________________ ( fill in the blanks) .
Meditate, pray, and write down other areas of which to repent and for persons and situations that God places on your heart to pray about or to take action.

Pray:

• Repent for the times you have been unforgiving, judgmental, and stubborn
• Ask for forgiveness and for the mind and heart to tear down the wall of division among family members, communities and various congregations and Christian leaders.
• .Ask God to stir a continual heart of repentance in you.
• Pray for families to be burdened with Christ compelling love to be reconciles to one another; for truth and love to cause individuals to pursue reconciliation with those they have suffered a break in a relationship or from whom they have been separated.
• Pray for believers throughout our city to be burdened with Christ’s compelling love to be reconciled to one another.
• Pray for believers throughout the city to pursue reconciliation with those from whom they are separated or with whom they have suffered a break in relationship.
• Pray that the enemy of unity who works division by accusing brother against brother would be defeated by the power of love.
• Ask the Lord to free people from Satan’s trap of isolation, unforgiveness and separation and lead them to the gift of repentance and reconciliation.
• Pray that our family and community will be redeemed and restored through an outpouring of God’s gift of repentance.

Worshiping Christ and Praying for His Rule/Presence Using His Names and Attributes

AN INVITATION TO CHRISTIANS ACROSS AMERICA:

TO UNITE IN WORSHIPING CHRIST AND IN PRAYING FOR HIS LORDSHIP IN EVERY PERSON, PLACE AND SITUATION IN OUR NATION

When: August 1 – December 31, 2010

How: Worshiping Christ and Praying for His Rule/Presence Using 153 of His Names and Attributes

WHAT WE ARE PROPOSING WITH THESE NAMES AND ATTRIBUTES OF CHRIST

There are 153 names and attributes of Christ for which we will be praying and worshipping from now until the end of the year. (one for each day August 1 – December 31, 2010), The names and attributes of God are meant to be a “Portrait of Christ”, from the Old and New Testaments.  Christ fulfills all the promises, prophecies, revelations and works of God, and He is vast beyond compare.  At this crucial time in history, He alone is our hope.  Man’s best plans and resources are grossly inadequate to overcome the challenges and needs of the Church and all people.   Fellow Christians–from every congregation, ministry, ethnic group, age , gender and city in America—let us unite in using these 153 names and attributes of Christ to: (1) know Him more (2) worship and honor Him continually, and (3) fervently pray that He will rule and reign in our lives, in every other person in our spheres of influence, and in every person, place and situation across this nation (especially in our local and national leaders).( by Steven  Hall and delivered from David Butts )

HOW EVERY CHRISTIAN CAN “FIX OUR EYES UPON JESUS” TOGETHER

1. Read the Scripture passage of the day a couple times and freshly devote ourselves to following Christ.

2. Worship Christ throughout each day according to His name/attribute of the day (be filled with awe and praise of His greatness and glory).

3. Pray continually (according to His name/attribute of the day) that Christ will rule in EVERY part of your life, in EVERY other person and situation He brings into your life throughout the day, and in EVERY person, place and situation that affects our nation.

What will God do if multitudes of believers saturate our spheres of influence with continuous worship of His beloved Son during the upc0ming 153 days?  What will God do in countless homes, churches, workplaces, schools, youth groups, local and national leaders, natural and manmade crises, the economy, and much more, if we fervently invite Christ to rule and reign in the authority of His names and attributes?   May we be desperate for the manifest presence of Christ.

Sunday August 15th to Saturday August 21

LORD, THE GOD OF TRUTH- Sunday

August 15 Psalm 31:1-8 In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness.  Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue; be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me.  Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me.  Free me from the trap that is set for me, for you are my refuge.  Into your hands I commit my spirit; redeem me from the trap that is set before me, for you are my refuge.  Into your hands I commit my spirit; redeem me, O Lord, the God of truth.  I hate those to cling to worthless idols, I trust in the Lord.  I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul.  You have not handed me over to the enemy but have set my feet in a spacious place.

MY HIDING PLACE        -Monday

August 16 Psalm 32:6-7 Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found; surely when the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him.  You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

MY HELP AND MY DELIVERER- Tuesday

August 17 Psalm 40:17 Yet I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me. You are my help and my deliverer; O my God, do not delay.

THE LIVING GOD -Wednesday

August 18 Psalm 42:1-2 As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.  My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.  When can I go and meet with God?

AN EVER-PRESENT HELP IN TROUBLE- Thursday

August 19 Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

THE LORD MOST HIGH – Friday

August 20 Psalm 47:1-2 Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.  How awesome is the Lord Most High, the great King over all the earth!  He subdued nations under us, peoples under our feet.  He chose our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob, whom He loved.  God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.  Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises.

THE GREAT KING OVER ALL THE EARTH- Saturday

August 21 Psalm 47:1-2 Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.  How awesome is the Lord Most High, the great King over all the earth!  He subdued nations under us, peoples under our feet.  He chose our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob, whom He loved.  God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.  Since praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises.
